Lubin president of collectors group

Sandy Lubin, chairman and chief executive officer of Coastal Recovery Solutions in San Luis Obispo County, was recently named the 100th president of the California Association of Collectors.

Lubin said his goals for the association’s 100th year are to increase membership and participation and to “encourage members to have fun doing their jobs.”

Formally known as the Credit Bureau of San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties, Coastal Recovery Solutions has been a debt recovery service for more than 90 years and is headquartered in the Five Cities area.

The California Association of Collectors was founded in 1917 as the first organized association of debt collection professionals in the country, an association spokesman said.

The association provides a platform to address issues specific to third-party collectors in the state, with members including third-party collection agencies, creditors, asset buyers, lawyers and vendor associates, the spokesman said.
