Alpha Hull passed away Monday morning February 26, 2018 at the Lompoc Convalescent Care Center where he had been a resident for many years. Alpha Lee Hull was born in Raymondville Missouri to Lacy and Agnes Hull on October 23, 1930. He graduated from high school at Houston Missouri, spent 4 years in the Navy where he attended electronics school. He was employed by the Bendix Corporation for 28 years until his retirement. While working for Bendix, he installed radar sites, worked on nuclear weapons. He also worked at the Deep Space Tacking Station at Goldstone, California where he helped send men to the moon and back as the Director of Communications for the Apollo Missions. After retirement from Bendix, he was employed by the naval research laboratory as the Facility Director of the Satellite Checkout Facility on Vandenberg Air Force Base.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Moose Camping Club, the Grange and the Half Century Club. Survivors include his two daughters Debra Anton of Riverside California and Pamela Galera of Orange California. He is also survived by four stepchildren: Nick Obermire, Denise Casro, Jacqueline Wuethroch, and Suxanne Ortiz, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his first wife Melba in 1993 and his second wife Armande in 2017.
