George Henry Hall was born on November 11, 1934 in Northhampton, Massachusetts to Luther Hall and Blanche Bedard. He passed away on Monday, October 23, 2017 in Santa Barbara, California
He served in the US Navy from February 1954 to December 1957.
He met and married his Love, Mary Frances Brandon while stationed at Point Hueneme in December 1957. Together they have two children, Becky and Richard.
He retired from Johns-Manville (Celite World Mineral) after 34years. He was a member of Chemical Workers Local Union and was also a member of the Lompoc Elks for 30 years.
George was an avid Bowler of 50+ years, no 300 game but came close several times. He enjoyed Cribbage, joined the local Cribbage League and received the “29” hand award in several tournaments. Camping at Lake Naciemento and Lake San Antonio were his spring and summer time adventures with his beloved family, many friends and neighbors. You could always find him wearing his camping hat and white long-sleeve shirt.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Francis, Daughter Becky (Gary) Gordon, and son, Richard Hall (residing in Texas). Four grandson's, Greggory Rouleau (Stacy), Scott (Kati) Rouleau, Kristopher Rouleau (Kamille), Kyle Gordon and Great-Granddaughter, Maycee Rouleau His Brothers, Walter Tobey (Chrissy) Kress, Jim (Jean) Marra (Both residing in Massachusetts). His Brother-in-law, Donald (Sharon) Brandon, sister-in-laws, Norma Jean Bernard and Joyce Brandon. Many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Hall, Walter Kress, and George and Blanche Marra.
The Family is greatly appreciative of the support from the Valley Medical Group, Dr. William Gausman, Ricki Prucha and the many other doctors and nurses over the last several years.
A funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 3 pm in the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary Chapel.
