Budi Kazali, the chef and owner at the Ballard Inn, will be featured on a weekly cooking show beginning this weekend on KEYT, the ABC affiliate in Santa Barbara.

“The Inn Crowd with Chef Budi Kazali,” which will debut at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, is a cooking show peppered with a healthy dose of fun, easy gourmet recipes, breathtaking scenery and magnetic personalities, according to Executive Producer Ira Distenfield.

The show centers on Kazali, an award-winning chef who is known for his unique fusion of French and Asian cuisine, his passion for fresh ingredients, and his ability to bring people together around gourmet foods and recipes.

Kazali came from Java, Indonesia, to the United States at 12 years old and began his career at 16.

He worked in San Francisco and Boston before coming to Santa Barbara County where he and his wife, Chris, bought The Ballard Inn.

The Ballard Inn is the backdrop for the show, along with other locations in the Santa Ynez Valley.

Host for the show will be Craig Case, who is also an executive producer. Linda Distenfield is the director.

Sponsors include El Rancho Market and Spencer’s Limousine Service, with L.M. Caldwell Pharmacist as the title sponsor.
