Fundraiser set for flood victims
A fundraiser dinner for typhoon victims in the Philippines will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday in the Walgreens parking lot, corner of North H Street and West North Avenue. The event is sponsored by Santo Nino Prayer Group. Meals will be sold for $7 each and will include lumpia, Filipino eggrolls; and pancit, Filipino noodles.

Holiday boutique set for today
New Life Christian Center will host a holiday boutique from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 816 North C St. More than 20 vendors will offer food, goods and services. Door-prize drawings will be held every 30 minutes.

Giant garage sale set today
Queen of Angels Catholic Church will host a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to noon today at 3495 Rucker Road, Mission Hills.
Sale items will include Levi's jeans for $1, winter jackets, sweatshirts, clothing, cribs, bicycles, exercise equipment, puzzles, books, furniture, Christmas decorations, trees and more.

Bicycle club to hold monthly meeting
Lompoc Valley Bicycle Club will hold its November meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Lompoc Restaurant, 925 North H St.
The LVBC is a nonprofit, family-oriented, recreational organization dedicated to the sport of cycling. The club serves both novice and experienced riders, road and mountain. The meeting is free and open to the public. New members always are welcome.

Mature driving class offered
Lompoc Unified Adult Education will offer a Mature Driving class to anyone 55 years of age and older at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 320 North J St. in Room 9.
The cost of the class is $20 and includes lunch. Once they finish the course, participants will earn a certificate of completion and could be eligible for a reduction in insurance costs.

Raffle to benefit restoration
The Sons of the American Legion Vandenberg Squadron 125 will sponsor a raffle to help raise funds for a new program called "Toys for Teens."
Squadron members will sell tickets for $20, for a chance to win a 1993 Harley-Davidson with a RevTec 110 engine.
Tickets can be purchased at the Whistle Stop, The Party Shop and American Legion Vandenberg Post 125 Clubroom, upstairs in the Veterans Memorial Building.
The drawing will be held on Superbowl Sunday, during halftime, at the Whistle Stop, 805 W. Laurel Ave. The winner does not need to be present to win. Only 500 tickets will be sold.
