The city of Lompoc is accepting registrations for the fifth annual TOTAL (Teaching Our Teens As Leaders) Conference, which is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Dick DeWees Community and Senior Center, 1120 W. Ocean Ave.

The conference is put on by the Lompoc Youth Commission. The theme for this year’s event is “Hollywood: Shoot for the Stars.” The conference is open to all middle and high school students. The keynote speakers and breakout sessions are designed to teach, motivate, empower and energize teens.

Doors will open at 8 a.m. for check-in and a light breakfast. The conference is set to begin at 9 a.m. The event will include two keynote speakers, three breakout sessions, two meals and a raffle. The keynote speakers will be EJ Carrion, a best-selling author and successful entrepreneur, and Jessie Funk, a certified life coach.

Each registrant will be able to choose from 10 workshops to attend throughout the day. Workshop topics will include “Social Media Awareness,” “What is Love?,” “Balancing Act,” and “Just Do It.”

Preregistration is recommended by Jan. 31 to receive a discounted rate and conference drawstring backpack. Registrations will be accepted at the door between 8 and 8:45 a.m. the day of the event. Registration fees are $5 if registered before the end of January, and $10 per person thereafter.
