Sections of Lompoc's main corridors were transformed into a Winter Wonderland on Friday night as the annual Lompoc Children's Christmas Season Parade made its festive return.
Thousands of spectators lined up rows deep for several blocks of North H Street and West Ocean Avenue for the parade, which featured nearly 60 entrants, including local schools, bands, civic organizations, youth clubs, churches, businesses, elected officials and, of course, Santa Claus. The theme for the event was "Winter Wonderland."
After the parade, many community members gathered at the downtown Centennial Park to witness the lighting of the community Christmas tree and to visit with Santa.
The festivities were coordinated by the Lompoc Recreation Division.
