The launch of a SpaceX-built Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Air Force Base remains on track following a static fire test performed Saturday at the base.
SpaceX and support workers conducted the test, which allowed launch crews to verify that the rocket is ready for flight, according to SpaceX.
The rocket is scheduled to blast off from Vandenberg's Space Launch Complex-4 between 11:50 a.m. and 12:34 p.m. Thursday. It will attempt to carry the Taiwanese FORMOSAT-5 satellite into orbit.
Following the launch, SpaceX will once again attempt to land the rocket's booster on a barge in the Pacific Ocean.
