Members of the CVSC Outkast takes a break from working on the Thompson Park Softball Field Project on Monday. After a long weekend of playing soccer at the annual SLO Summer Classic, the girls were back on the field — this time a softball field — to help spruce up Thompson Park.

After an exhausting weekend of soccer the young ladies of the CVSC Outkast spent their Monday evening supporting the Thompson Park Softball Field Project.

All players showed up including Monica Escalante, Amy Bommersbach and Hailey Kennedy who are recovering from ankle injuries.

Xiadani Zarate was out there in her cast and boot shoveling dirt.

The rest of the crew – Hannah Montalban, Adriana Waldron, Selena Garcia, Elena Angulo, Marina Tamayo, Natalie Ochoa, Sabrina Paz,the Simmons girls (Zariah, Ayziah, Amia, Maliah), Eva Datuin and Megan.

Only one of these soccer players is an active softball player which made this a true "Give Back To Community" event.

Thanks to coach Ondray Simmons, Jaoquin Paz and Rosa Simmons for also getting out there and laying gopher wire and shoveling dirt.
