The Central Coast Vipers 10U travel baseball team finished second in the Surf's Up Tournament held recently in Arroyo Grande.

The Vipers went 4-1 in the tournament with the team's only loss coming against the Central Coast Crushers out of the Paso Robles/Templeton area in the championship game.

 In pool play, the Vipers beat the Tulare Avengers 9-2, Coalinga 10-5 and Diamond Academy 15-0. 

In the single elimination bracket, the Vipers defeated Clovis Babe Ruth 17-2 before losing in the Championship Game, 17-7.

 The Central Coast Vipers are made up of 10-year-old players from Vandenberg Village and Lompoc.

Manger Jim Kovach is joined by coaches Shane Gallimore and Brad Lane, with assistant Trenton Lane.
