The Lompoc Economic Development Committee is proud to announce Blue Sky Property as the June 2017 winner of their Economic Vitality Award, or EVA. The award is presented monthly to a business in the Lompoc Valley.

Blue Sky Property is a property management company, founded in the Santa Ynez Valley, serving that community for over two decades. When Jennifer Pybas bought the company in 2005, she set a course to take business to the next level. In September 2016, Blue Sky Property expanded operations to the Lompoc Valley with four employees supporting their Lompoc and Santa Ynez locations.

The new location now occupies a commercial space in Lompoc on H Street that was long vacant. To prepare for the expansion, Blue Sky Property spent six weeks doing a total overhaul of the interior of the building, making improvements like new flooring and lights, new cabinets, fresh paint, and new furnishings.

On the renovations, Pybas noted, “Our mission statement is ‘The professional service you deserve with the home town feel you desire’ and I wanted our office to represent who we are as a company.”

Blue Sky Property specializes in managing single-family homes, ranch properties and small residential homes, including duplexes, condos and townhomes, as well developing an area-leading Home Owner’s Association division.

The business prides itself on pairing property owners with well-qualified prospective tenants, with an eye toward long-term tenancies. It assists with property showings, conducts periodic or as-needed inspections, and maintains detailed maintenance logs on each property managed. It also provides property owners with detailed monthly financial statements and manages all communications with tenants and vendors, eliminating the typical stressors of property ownership.

When the EDC notified Blue Sky Property of the EVA win, Pybas said “Opening our location in Lompoc has truly been a blessing. We opened with an idea and fingers crossed. Within months, our Lompoc office was managing multiple HOAs and our property management division was off the ground. I want to thank Allie, my office manager, and Melody, my HOA coordinator, for getting through a busy few months and helping to make this possible.”

In addition to membership in the National Association of Residential Property Managers, Department of Real Estate, and The Lompoc Valley Chamber of Commerce, Pybas is an active member of the Rotary Club of Lompoc.

Blue Sky Property is located at 418 N H St., Suite A, open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed for lunch from noon to 1 p.m. The office can be contacted online at or by phone at (805) 819-3319.
