What products and services do you offer?

We provide new house heating systems, furnace replacement, furnished inspections and service, repair of damaged heat ducting, heating room additions or extra heat outlets, and ventilation of dryers, kitchen hoods, and bath fans. I am also a licensed sheet-metal contractor and able to make a variety of sheet metal products.

Who are your customers?

I work mainly in Lompoc, but I go to all the surrounding cities.

How many people do you employ?

My wife and I run this business. She handles the office and I work in the field. I do bring in associates when needed.

How long have you been in business?

I started my business in August of 2004.

How did you get into this business?

I was working at Vandenberg Air Force Base when the first shuttle blew up and I was laid off. I needed work and I found a job as a laborer in a local heating company. After working my way up to supervisor, I decided it was time to start my own small business. This would allow me to spend time with my family

What do you like most about owning your own business?

I like making my own decisions and the hours. I like being able take my time, if needed, to make sure my customers are happy and comfortable with their heating needs.

What do you find most challenging about owning this business?

Owning a small business can be tough because I can only be at one place at a time. Sometimes I need to be working in an attic all day or changing a furnace, doing paperwork, billing, or answering phone calls. This is all very time consuming and sometimes I have to schedule jobs a week in advance.

What do you do in your spare time?

I love spending time with my family and my dogs, working on projects around the house and spending time at the lake.
