Frank Edward Bancroft-Billings, 54, was born on October 15, 1964, in Topeka, Kansas, and passed away in Lompoc, California, on March 24, 2019.
Frank moved to Santa Barbara County in California in 1969. He devoted 34 years of his life to working at Imerys, formerly known as Celite. He loved volunteering 25 plus years of his life to the Lompoc Valley Flower Festival Association and 6 years to coaching in our local Little League and Babe Ruth baseball teams. Anyone who had the chance to meet him knew what a kindhearted and selfless man Frank was. He was always there to help you with anything you needed.
He was preceded in death by his parents Denis and Arlene Bancroft-Billings. Frank is survived by his sisters Elizabeth Weir and Donna Anderson of Lompoc, California, and Gail Harold of Paso Robles, California. He is also survived by his daughter Jamee Fernandes of Oakland, California. Frank had many nieces and nephews who loved him very much as well as great nieces and nephews who will always remember him as “Uncle Frank.”
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Lompoc Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. You all gave such great care to Frank and his family. Also, all of his “Yellow Jacket” friends with the Flower Festival, you were such an important part of his life and thank you for all your love and support.
A funeral service will be held on April 19, 2019, at 11am at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary Chapel, 123 North A Street, Lompoc, California. The interment will be at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery for immediate family and close friends. A celebration of life will be held following the services at the Starbuck-Lind event center, Events Mission Valley, 138 North B Street, from 12pm to 4pm.
