James ( Jim ) Patrick Green passed away suddenly at Cottage Hospital on Friday March 2nd surrounded by his loving family at the age of 58. He was born on September 5th, 1959 to Raymond and Jayne Green in Dayton, Ohio.

On August 14th, 1982 he married Sandy in Santa Barbara, California. They had their first child Jason in September of 1985, followed by Joey in November of 1987, and Stacy in September of 1993. Jim worked in the building industry for many years until a back injury made it impossible for him to continue. Throughout Jim's life, you could usually find him on the sports fields, whether that was coaching his children or just spectating. He also truly enjoyed watching his daughter dance and grow through the years. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family, the trips to Idaho and was always proud to be Papa Jim to his grandchildren, Austin and Emma. He was also an avid billiards player where he gained many great friends. Numerous valued relationships were formed throughout the years, to the point where he was known as “Papa Green” to many people.

Jim is survived by his loving wife Sandy of 35 years; sons Jason ( Jenna ) and Joey ( Megan ), daughter Stacy, grandchildren Austin and Emma. He is also survived by his brother Jon, sister Jayne, sisters in law Debbie and Shari, brother in law Jack and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will take place at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary Chapel on Friday March 9th at 12:30pm, with a celebration of life to immediately follow at the Mission Event Center at 138 N. B Street. If you would like to bring a dish to share, that will be appreciated.
