Roger Alan Easterday passed away from a sudden illness on 12/30/2018 in Las Vegas, NV, surrounded by loved ones. Roger was born 5/21/1929 in Tacoma Washington. He was in the Merchant Marines in WWII and drafted during the Korean War where he was stationed in France and learned French cooking from the locals. He owned numerous restaurants in Seattle, Cambria, San Simeon, Santa Barbara and Lompoc. He was the Mayor of Cambria in 1972. He owned the Four Winds in Santa Barbara and co-owned Butler Brothers Pizza with his long time companion, Liling. He enjoyed a good book and discussing politics.
Roger is survived by his son, Christian Easterday of Seattle, his daughter Michelle Santiago of Ventura, and his step-daughter Leilani and son-in-law Jeff Schleuning of Las Vegas; his grandchildren Matthew Easterday, Jake, Lindsey and James Easterday, Jeffery Santiago, Jaden Dominguez, Elizabeth Miron, Siam and Levi Schleuning; great grandchildren Bentlee and Landyn Easterday and Maddox Miron; his brother Laurence Easterday of Bullhead City. He was preceded in death by his companion, Liling Hattendorf; his parents Martin V. Easterday and Gladys Fly Easterday, his son Mark Easterday of Seattle,WA, his brother Martin Easterday of Seattle, his sister Carol Easterday of Salem, his brother Stephen Easterday of Bandon.
