Dr. Khawar Gul, a Lompoc-based cardiologist, will be the featured speaker during a free healthy heart-themed lecture from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at the Ocean’s Seven Café inside Lompoc Valley Medical Center, 1515 E. Ocean Ave.
During the presentation, Gul is expected to provide lifestyle management tips to reduce cardiovascular risk. This will likely include a focus on exercise, blood pressure and cholesterol levels, among other topics.
The lecture is part of the Lompoc Hospital District Foundation’s Community Education lecture series.
Gul completed his training in internal medicine at the University of Texas, Houston, before moving to Los Angeles, where he completed his fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.
He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiology, and joined Lompoc Valley Medical Center as a consultant cardiologist in 2010.
