Lompoc Police investigating Fourth of July shooting that left 3 people injured

The Lompoc Police Department has opened an attempted murder investigation after three people were reportedly shot in the city Tuesday night amid Fourth of July celebrations.

The investigation began around 9:45 p.m. when Lompoc Police officers responded to a report of shots fired in an alley between the 700 blocks of North F and G Streets. Upon arrival, officers reported finding two shooting victims. A third was found in the area of Pine Avenue and G Street.

Two of the victims were taken to Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria, and the other was transported to Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara. All of the victims are in stable condition and are expected to survive, according to the Lompoc Police Department.
