A man was airlifted to a hospital with life-threatening injuries after allegedly being stabbed in a Vandenberg Village home Friday evening, according to a Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman.

The Sheriff’s Office reported that around 4:37 p.m. it responded to a call about a stabbing inside a residence in the 700 block of Mercury Avenue. A male victim was located with multiple stab wounds, according to sheriff’s spokeswoman Kelly Hoover, and a male suspect was taken into custody.

The Sheriff’s Office did not release the names of either party believed to have been involved in the incident, which is still under investigation. It also did not specify which hospital the victim was taken to.

“We do not believe there are any outstanding suspects,” Hoover said.
