A Minuteman 3 test planned for early this morning from Vandenberg Air Force Base has been postponed so crews can swap out a possibly problematic part, officials said.

“The test launch is delayed in order to replace a test-unique tracking component used only on test missiles,” Air Force Global Strike Command officials said in a written statement. “The test-unique tracking component monitors missile location within geographic boundaries of the test range.”

A new launch date has not been set yet, officials said Tuesday.
