Lompoc Recreation Division now is taking appointments from residents interested in participating. Each resident will get special Easter egg yard decorations, a candy-filled basket along with other goodies on their doorstep and a socially distanced visit from the Easter Bunny.

Several Lompoc-area children are getting an up-close look this week into the field of firefighting. The 21st annual Junior Fire Camp, a program hosted by the Lompoc Fire Department and Recreation Division, kicked off Monday at Lompoc’s Fire Station No. 1. The camp, held from 2 to 4 p.m. each day, will continue through Thursday.

Hundreds of Lompoc-area mothers and sons participated in the annual Mother Son Luau, presented by the Lompoc Recreation Division. The event kicked off Friday night and continued Saturday night at the Anderson Recreation Center. It is offered as a way to help connect mothers with their sons.
