Righetti's baseball team has been a juggernaut the last two years.
The Warriors made the CIF Southern Section Division 3 quarterfinals in 2016 and rolled all the way into the title game in 2017.
Matt Sauer, Righetti's ace, has been the All-Area MVP the last two seasons.
This year, the Warriors also have five guys on the LCCN All-Area First Team.
The First Team catcher is Zach Andersen, a Righetti senior who figures to play at Hancock next year. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound Andersen hit .330 on the season with 31 hits, 18 RBIs and seven doubles, while managing a stellar pitching staff that had a team ERA of 2.90.
The Warriors went 28-7 on the season and claimed the PAC 8 League co-championship with an 18-3 record.
Righetti's Alex Castellanos is one of three First Team pitchers, along with Cabrillo senior Izzy Hernandez and Santa Ynez junior Daniel Atchison.
Castellanos went 11-0 on the season with a 3.28 ERA. Atchison went 7-1 for the Pirates, who finished 25-8 and won the Los Padres League title. Atchison had a 1.77 ERA. He also drove in 22 runs and scored 17 times with seven doubles and a home run.

LyBurtus hit .356 with 34 runs, 26 hits, 13 RBIs, six doubles, two triples and four homers. LyBurtus was Righetti's leadoff man and figures to be a top contender for the All-Area MVP award with a healthy senior season at Righetti in 2018.
Santa Maria's Isiah Garcia is another First Team outfielder. LyBurtus and Garcia are both their team's centerfielder and leadoff man. Garcia had 10 more runs than anyone else on his team with a total of 31. He also hit .352 with 43 hits, eight RBIs, 12 doubles, a triple and a home run.
Nipomo's JJ Ramirez, a senior, rounds out the First Team outfield. Ramirez hit .356 for the Titans, with 17 runs, 21 hits, 12 RBIs and three doubles in 19 games.
