Righetti High improved its record to 5-2 with a 274-290 victory over Santa Ynez Monday at the River Course at Alisal in Solvang.

The Warriors shot a team score of 274 on the nine-hole, par 36 competition. The Pirates had a score of 290 strokes.

Righetti's Sarah Fouratt, one of the premier golf talents in the area and only a sophomore, shot a 38 to win the individual medal. Other Warriors who scored were: Hailee Silva 53, Delaney Nolan 54, Olivia Lydick 61 and Zailee Cortez 68.

Santa Ynez scorers were: Gracie Church 51, Eva Hennesee 54, Gabrielle Sczudlo 59, Shilah Lizor 61 and Alex Sczudlo 65.

Righetti continues its busy week of golf today in its league opener at Dairy Creek against San Luis Obispo. Then the first PAC-8 mini-tournament is Wednesday at Paso Robles. 

Lompoc 286 Orcutt 298

Lompoc High beat Orcutt Academy with the help of individual medalists Daniele Morgan's personal best score of a 53 at La Purisima.

The other scorers for the Braves were: Kendal Martin 55, Marlene Mendez 58, Rylee Sager 59 and Destiny Goggins 61. The Spartans scorers were: Sienna Pita 55, Ashley McClung 56, Rochelle McClung 57 and Anika Graak 61.

Morro Bay 258, Nipomo 269

Morro Bay High's Alyssa Noriega bested Nipomo's Brooke Cuzick by one stroke Monday to win the individual medal in a contest of two of the better golfers in the area.

Noriega scored a 43 to lead Morro Bay's 258-269 victory over Nipomo in the nine-hole competition at the Morro Bay Golf Course.  Cuzick shot a 44 for the Titans.

The Pirates are now 2-0 in dual matches while the Titans are now 0-2. 

Morro Bay's other scorers were: Kelly Dudley 48, Olivia Sisneros 50, Megan Maize 53 and Jazmin Perez 64. For Nipomo: Carah Frank 47, Karlee Magness 53, Chelsea McNeil 60, Brook Panzardi 65. 

The next match for both teams is a league tournament on Thursday at Alisal River in Solvang.
