Braves Golf Classic
The 10th annual Braves Golf Classic will be played at La Purisima Golf Course on Saturday, Aug. 8. The four-person scramble tees off at 9:30 a.m. with a shotgun start.
Funds raised will assist the Lompoc High School athletic budget to help purchase uniforms, pay officials and provide other support for the school's teams.
The entry fee is $125 per person which includes golf fees, cart, tee prizes, breakfast and a lunch at the conclusion of the tournament. Group fees are $500 and the group fee with tee sign is $600.

Hank Hudson Triathlon
The Lompoc Recreation Department will be holding the 9th annual Hank Hudson Memorial Lompoc Sprint Triathlon on Saturday, Aug. 8. The race consists of a 500-yard swim, an 11-mile bike race and a 3.1-mile run.
There will be several categories, divided by age group, with awards presented to the top three finishers in each.
Early registration will run to July 31 and the fees are $50 for individuals and $90 for relay teams.
Late registration will run at $55 and $100.
A last chance registration will be held on Friday, Aug. 7 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Lompoc Aquatic Center. Fees will be $60 and $110.

Lompoc LL Board
Lompoc Little League will be holding elections for the 2016 Board in September.
All positions are open and anyone who is interested is invited to join.
If you are interested in having your name on the ballot, email email@example.com with your name, phone number, email address and the position you would like to run for by August 31.

The league will also be posting to its Lompoc Little League Facebook and Instagram sites once the September election date is finalized.
Village Hills Little League is seeking members from the community to serve as regular voting membership of VHLL.
This position will assist with fundraising efforts, approve the league constitution, bylaws, boundary maps and vote on a new Board of Directors annually.
This body will meet annually and also may be called upon to assist with changes in the operation procedures on occasion. However, most communications will be by email.
Participation does not require you to have a child actively in the organization or live in the boundary.
